WTF?
Hello World!
So you’re probably wondering “Hmm. Why the hell is Keren in a garbage bag?”
Well fellow readers that is not a garbage bag! That WAS my future prom dress, of course with a few alterations and what not, and I was willing to pay $350 for it. Well thank God I showed the dress to my sister, and she quickly took me shopping. Oh and I found an amazing dress for a good price, I absolutely love it! I got lucky, because I waited so long to get my prom dress; luckily I have an amazing sister who cares a lot about me to not let me look like a rag-a-muffin at prom.
So the moral of the story? Don’t leave thing to the last minute! Really!

Look a like
Hello World!
So as the year comes to an end all the students in the Acting Academy are preparing for many sleepless nights when it comes to the exam. Oh and the exam is a killer, but for the very few that plan their time wisely, they will get a good nights sleep.
Part of the exam is to perform a monologue from an artist who had a tragic life, or a tragic moment in their life, sounds easy? Well no, because you have to resemble the person and pick up their nuances (movements) to the “tee” with in 2 weeks, and our teacher is expecting greatness! So everyone has to be amazing!
Although many people gave me good ideas for my monologue, it evidently came down to two main people, a young Oprah Winfrey or Brandy Norwood. In the end I decided to do Brandy because I looked similar to her, and I liked her story, picking up her nuances won’t be hard, but her monologue will be a challenge.
Overall I’m happy with my pick, and I’m excited to begin writing my monologue on her!

RIOT!

Hello World,
So this week in English class we were reading a really good play entitled Riot, and it really grabbed my attention for many reasons. One, the play was written by Canadian actor and director Andrew Moodie, and two the play is based in Toronto, the play received amazing reviews when it first opened in 1992. Riot is about the riots that took place in Toronto after the Rodney King beating, the play is powerful and challenges the reader to feel and understand what it’s like to be black in that era, and also see the LA and Toronto riots from a different point of view.
Any how, I really enjoyed reading the play, and I wish I could see the play live, but I will try and Youtube it!
