One Year plus Three Months

Hello World!

So it's officially been one year plus three months.

Of what you ask?

Well it has been one full year since I started blogging (February 22nd), and three months since I decided to shave my head and go natural.

Alot has changed for me between that one year period, and three month period. But overall all the changes that have happened in my live and continue to happen are for the better, there isn't a moment in my life where I regret a decision I made, or the outcome of a situation. I always remember that God has a purpose and a plan for my life.

But the best change/ decision I've made thus far in my life was shaving my head. If you look back in my past blog posts you can see that in some posts I talk about going natural, but the process is actually hard. A person can go natural (growing out the perm) in many ways, some people grow it out, grow it out then do a BC (big chop), or some people completely shave it.

Well I decided to shave it, and I've never been happier, I feel empowered, free, and from time to time I feel a little breeze on my head lol.

When I first shaved my head I got mixed reviews, most liked it, and few didn't like it. I found that a few black females looked down on me for shaving my head, but I could honestly care less. I'm happy, and that's all that matters.

For most of my teen years I always cared alot about how people perceived me or thought about me, but that all changed when I met a friend in high school K.P. who really opened my eyes and made me realize that the moment you stop realizing what people thought about you, was the moment you became free. From then on I started living my life almost "selfishly" (in a good way) always putting myself first, and doing what I though was right never wondering what people thought about me, and since then I never looked back.
