Its New Years Eve, I just got off work, and I'm looking forward to partying! But I have work tomorrow, so unfortunately I can't party as hard as I did last year.

HELLO WORLD!

Soo if you don't live under a rock you should know that 2011 is fast approaching! And you know that 'tis the season for people to start making silly resolutions for the New Year. Not only dose this annoy me, but it also upsets me that people decide to wait a full year to change themselves.

Okay well, here's the joke!

I ACTUALLY have a New Years resolution, and that is to act MORE. Since I started working full time to save up for school, I've found myself more focused on my job, then my passion. It literally took me a series of unfortunate events to occur for me to realize what I was doing wrong. I was putting so much of my time and effort into a job that didn't even make me happy at the end of the day, I was putting ALL of my energy into impressing my managers and coworkers that I didn't realize how un happy I really was. So end of the story is that my New Years resolution is to not be so money focused, but to focus on my acting!

Blackberry & some more

Hello World!

SOOOOOO, I GOT A BLACKBERRY, yeahh man! I'm up to date with the world. Don't get me wrong though, I will be the first to admit that Blackberries are OVER hyped! But then on the other side, they are frigging amazing! Besides BBM, I've found the Blackberry very entertaining, and useful!
Besides my upgrade in technology, I finally picked my top 3 schools that I will apply to in the following weeks. I'm very excited and eadgerd to go back to school and learn all there is possibly is to know about the acting industry, and also gain more experience.
And on a random note, this summer before I start school, I'm taking the week off and travelling, my first choice was Paris, but then after some intense research I realized that would be super expensive! So I decided I would travel within Canada, not too sure where yet, but I've got my eye on Nova Scotia.

Hello World!

So I was recently chosen to audition for a new and up coming television show on CTS called Crossroads which starts filming in April.

Since the show is a comedy I decided to write a monologue on a adolescent teenage girl who stalks guys, but dosen't see any harm in it.

Sounds good right?

Well no!

The audition was in Burlington (two hours by bus), so I was given a option is tape my audition on Youtube and send it in. Oh man! Thank God for Youtube.

Of course I hope I get chosen for the role, but even if I don't I still enjoyed the journey to the audition.

Falling in Love with Fall

Fall is here and I'm so happy! I absolutely love fall, not only because my birthday is on the 18th of this month, not only because the TIFF is in town, but its a fashion lovers dream to dress in the latest trends. That's why I love fall, it's the best season for fashion.

Anyways, I'm turning 18, I have a new job at my favorite mall (YAY), and fall is here.

So as you may know I've been searching far and wide all around Toronto for ACTRA approved agencies to sign with, and after countless go sees, meetings, emails, packages mailed, and of course rejection letters, I found a agency that was interested in me, and that I in return really liked. After a lot of research on the company I decided to sign with them. I'm so happy!

My agent is smart, savvy, and head strong, she's been in the industry for many years and knows exactly what she's doing, and how to represent me.

I'm very excited to start going on auditions and get my name out there!

Oh and on a random note this is my 50th blog! YAY.

Well I hope your summer is going well and your making the best of it, because there is less then two weeks left! So go get out there, get a tan, fall in love, or just go shopping! Enjoy life.

As August comes and goes....

Hello World!

I hope your summer is going swell! Because mine is! I think the one low of my summer so far is that my lost my cell phone so I was out of touch from the world for almost two weeks, but I also get a brand new cell phone so that isn’t too bad. But all in all my summer is good, loving every second of it; I’m still doing background work for TV shows so LOOK OUT FOR ME! I’ve done 3 TV shows this summer and hopping to add to the list once I get a principal agent. But the one thing I’m not looking forward to is balancing acting and a full time job once September rolls around, the thought of that makes me nervous! But I can handle it!

Eat, Act, & Love

Hello World!

So for the past month I have been eating healthy like a mad women and also exercising, and like my Mom says, “When you eat good, you feel good”. Well I hate to say it but Mama C was absolutely right! Yesterday I felt for something sweet so I went to the store and bought so much junk food and ate it all before my Mom came home, and let me tell you, I’ve never felt so sick in my life! I felt bloated, tired, and not like myself! So after I experienced the down side of dis obeying my Mom I won’t let it happen again, I’m going to remain eating healthy.

Now on to exciting news, like my agent promised, she has booked me all summer and on Saturday I was on set for a film in progress entitled “Reviving Ophelia”, and it was the best time ever, I had so much fun, met so many cool people, and made great connections! I also met the actor from Degressi Jamie Johnston; it was pretty epic, hands down the best days of my life so far.

So eat healthy and get out of your house and have some fun, because school is around the corner!

Summer= Freedom!

Hello World!

So as you know I’m done school, and summer has begun. Before I begin to ramble about my summer to do list let’s talk about Prom.

Okay so here we go, Prom wasn’t amazing, I probably would have had more fun working at a sweat shop, seriously, I kinda wished I didn’t spend all that money just to dress up, eat bad food, and dance, I could have gone to a club. Well none the less I would rate Prom 3.5 out of 10.

Now back to summer, my summer started off with a bang! I got to sleep in, work, and relax at home, which is something I haven’t gotten the chance to do in weeks due to my Drama exam. But I’m glad I’m done school, and I’m now beginning my paper work to venture off to New York City to study T.V. and film in September of 2011, so I have a full year to get my money, and paper work together! I’m very excited, but also nervous to leave my family, but I’ve been dreaming of this for years!

Well since school has ended I had made it my absolute goal to research amazing agencies in Toronto and get signed to them, well I deferred that thought until September since my contract with my other agency isn’t up, and their getting me a lot of work for the summer, it so amazing how things ended up working so perfectly.

Any how I hope YOU are having an amazing summer, and making the best of 2010!

School is OUT. Now it's time to work HARDER!

Hello World!

Okay so school is OUT! I’m so happy that I’m officially done high school, but I must say, I had an amazing journey though out these past four years. I am who I am today because of the lessons that I’ve learned in high school, but don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t relive it, TRUST ME.

All in all my exams went well, but if you were following me on Twitter and Facebook, you would know that I suffered through them. My drama exam was a killer, I went mentally insane for a couple of days due to the work load, but the hard work paid off. I got all my work done and handed in on time, and my monologue about Brandy went extremely well!

Out of my four years of high school, and my four plus years of being involved in theatre productions, I honestly felt like that was my best performance to date, I laid my heart on the stage and left it there. It was an amazing feeling to challenge myself, and I enjoyed every moment of being on stage. So in case your wondering, my monologue basically talked about the point in Brandy’s life where she was under immense pressure to stay on the top on the charts, and to boost her ratings for her TV show Moesha, in a result to all the pressure, Brandy had an emotional break down and was rushed to the hospital. So my monologue revolved around the moments before she had her break down in her dressing room.

Any how, I’m glad I finished high school successfully, and my next stop is PROM! I’m super excited, I have my fashion loving sister Kishona helping me every step of the way so I can look fierce for my prom.
